Emergency repair to impact water for two days

Emergency water infrastructure repairs to be undertaken by City of Cranbrook Public Works and contractors, will cause some water customers in Cranbrook to be without water for two days, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, until 4 p.m. on Friday, April 26.

The emergency repair work will be happening on 7th Street South between 11th Avenue South and 14th Avenue South.

City staff will be knocking on doors of those residents who will be impacted today and will leave an information sheet behind. Those residents who will be without water are asked to please fill water storage containers to use while this work is completed.

Every effort will be made to restore water service as soon as possible. Once water service is restored, affected residents may notice some dirty water as the water lines are recharged. Please run your cold water tap for a short time until your water runs clear.

The public is asked to please be aware of equipment and personnel working in the area. Please obey any signage or directions from staff working in the area.

Any questions or concerns, please contact our Public Works department at 250-489-0218 or by calling 311.
