Starting April 29, City of Fernie crews will begin the annual comprehensive street sweeping program, working through each neighbourhood in Fernie to collect sand on the roadways.

You can help them get city streets in tip-top shape by completing any of your own boulevard cleanup in advance and using off street parking when they’re scheduled to be in your neighbourhood.

First pass of sweeping:

Annex: April 29-May 1;

Maintown: May 2-6;

Riverside/Cedars: May 6-7;

West Fernie: May 7-8;

Ridgemont: May 8-9;

Castle/Montane/Coal Creek: May 10-13;

Parkland/Alpine/Ghostrider: May 13-14;

Mountview: May 14-15.

Crews will complete a final pass in late May to pick-up any last remaining winter sand.
