A reminder of an ongoing crisis

May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ Peoples — also known as Red Dress Day.

On Friday, May 3, staff of Ktunaxa Nation Council in Cranbrook wore red shirts to work as a reminder of this ongoing crisis and to honour those who have been lost, harmed and affected by it.

As Red Dress Day approaches, consider visiting www.safepassage.ca to learn more.

Safe Passage is an initiative of The Native Women’s Association that tracks, monitors, and educates the public on the MMIWG2S+ crisis.
