Kids on Broadway returns July 8
“Heigh Ho!” Get ready for the classic tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Cranbrook. The second Kids on Broadway production will delight young and old alike on Friday, July 8 at First Baptist Church.
Following on the success of last year’s Mary Poppins, Noted world class vocal performer and music instructor Katherine van Kampen will again be working with local children and youth, with the support of local theatre and music names, with her junior vocal coach, Cranbrook local Danielle Nicholson, to bring an abbreviated version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to the stage.
Kids on Broadway is a five-day Musical Theatre Camp, which gives aspiring young actors and singers the experience of mounting an entire production in five days.
Van Kampen has produced a variety of Kids on Broadway Musical Theatre Camps and different shows through B.C. communities, and has over 35 years of experience on stage and teaching.
Snow White will bring together a cast of 18 young performers aged nine to 17 who will have worked tirelessly all week, just as if they were working in a real theatre setting. Featuring Meghan Gaudet as Snow White and Grace Cleland (the Queen), this is sure to be a delightful family experience.
Don’t miss the one show only performance on Friday evening July 8 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 328 – 14th Ave. S. Admission by donation.
