Americans weren’t the only people heading to the polls today (Nov. 8).

Shuswap Indian Band (Kyaknuq+i?it) residents also turned out to vote for chief and council.

And it appears the past council was doing an acceptable job as all three incumbents are returned to office, including Chief Barbara Cote and councillors Rosalita Pascal and Timothy Eugene.

Also nominated were: Dean Martin; Clarissa Stevens; Lawrence Thomas and Dorothy Warbrick.
