Elk Valley RCMP is currently attempting to identify a person of interest in relation to an assault outside a local bar in Fernie.

Police were called to The Royal Hotel bar in the early morning hours of July 16 after a male was approached by five other people and then attacked by a person in that group, suffering potentially life-altering injuries.
