CVSAR rescue man from Catamount Glacier
Columbia Valley Search and Rescue (CVSAR) yesterday afternoon rescued a 54-year-old man from Catamount Glacier, west of Invermere.
CVSAR responded to an ‘in-reach activation’ on Catamount Glacier and a paramedic and avalanche forecaster were flown to scene by Alpine Helicopters and evacuated the man who had a compound femur fracture, it reported on its Facebook page.
The man was transferred to a waiting BC Ambulance crew and was transported to Invermere & District Hospital.
