Louise Henderson

Louise Henderson passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.
Mom was born on the family farm on May 21, 1930 near Blaine Lake, SK. She moved to Canyon, BC with her family in her teens where she helped on the farm and finished her schooling, graduating from Prince Charles High School in Creston, BC. She earned her LPN licence at Creston Hospital. During this time, she met Frank McLaren and they were married in October of 1950. They were blessed with four children Linda, Barry, Debbie and Jeff whom mom raised on her own after Frank’s passing in 1959. Mom met Robert “Bob” Henderson, her second soulmate, ten years later and they married in March of 1970. As the kids got older and left home, they were able to share their love and home with Pat, Neil, Brock, Nadine and Keenan McClure.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Alec and Hazel, her husband Robert in 2011, her son-in-law John Wiley, her brothers Fred, Larry, John and Wayne and her grandson John Jr.
Mom is survived by her sister Faye of Calgary, her four children Linda, Barry (Laverne), Debbie (Dave), and Jeff (Bruna), plus five grandchildren Nikki, Jodi, Brett, John and Jaysen, five great-grandchildren Jonas, Nicolas, Madison, Shaylee and McKenzy and numerous extended family members.
A visitation for Louise will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A memorial service for Louise will take place at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in her honour.
