Fire reported above Forest Crowne fuels management work
UPDATE:
The City of Kimberley reports that smoke in the nature park is resulting from fuels management work.
B.C. Wildfire service is on site operating in the area above Duck Pond and Forest Crowne.
The BC Wildfire Service is attending a small fire located north of St. Mary Lake Road, near or in the Kimberley Nature Park, this afternoon (May 12).
The fire, with an estimated size of .06 hectares, is visible from Forest Crowne in Kimberley. It is believed it has been burning since about noon.
There is no listed suspected cause at this point.
