The Kimberley Fire Department has some good news for residents.

Due to recent rainfall, conditions have improved for backyard campfires to resume, the fire department has just announced on social media.

While campfires are again allowed, take note of the specifics outlined by the fire department.

• Residents are allowed campfires between the hours of 6 to 9 p.m. ONLY.
• Campfires may not be larger than 0.5 M in height and 0.5 M in width.

The fire department offers thanks for resident cooperating with these guidelines.
