Henry HUTCHINSON

Henry Hutchinson, 82, of Hosmer, BC, passed away on May 10, 2021 surrounded by family.

Henry is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; daughter Barbra (Vern); grandchildren Ayden & Calyn; his sister Bertha Krause and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Germaine, brother Richard, and his son John.

Henry, aka “Sonny Boy”, was born in Blairmore AB on March 7, 1939. He moved with his family from Blairmore to Fernie in 1942. Growing up in Fernie, Henry enjoyed playing hockey and skating with his friends until he started working in the Coal Creek Mine at the age of 16. In 1962 he married his beautiful wife Marilyn in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Henry spent most of his adult life in Hosmer, which accommodated the room he needed for his trucking and construction business. He loved dirt and snow, which he spent many hours digging, pushing, sifting, and delivering. Henry also enjoyed being outdoors in the mountains, near lakes and streams, and preferably on his side by side accompanied by his family and grandkids. He was a big lover of animals and enjoyed many dogs and cats, rabbits, and horses throughout his life.

Henry will be forever loved and always remembered.
