Local golf pros earn PGA of BC Awards
Two golf professionals at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort have named provincial recipients of the PGA of BC’s 2021 Award Program.
Jeremy Johnson of Fairmont Hot Springs Resort was Oct. 13 named Dick Munn Golf Professional of the Year and Matt Gillett won the Jock McKinnon Candidate for Membership of the Year (apprentice).
Invermere’s Copper Point Golf Club also captured a PGA of BC award, with Dennis Bradley earning the Davie Black Professional Development Award.
“These honours recognize the individuals and golf facilities that are leaders in the Association. Both Jeremy and Matt will now go forward as the PGA of BC’s nominees for corresponding #PGAofCanada national awards. We wish them every success. Congratulations Jeremy and Matt, on receiving these very well-deserved awards, we are fortunate to have you with us,” Fairmont Hot Springs Resort stated on social media.
