100 Years of Rotary in Cranbrook
The Cranbrook Rotary Club, in its 100th year of operation, is donating $44,000 to local community organizations. This money was raised through the Rotary Community Bingo held every week on Friday evenings for the last several months.
“When I went to our board over a year ago and asked them to support Rotary Bingo started by the Golden Rotary Club, I never imagined it would lead to having this level of investment for worthy causes in Cranbrook! We are so grateful to our community for their support. Let’s keep playing bingo on Friday nights,” said Rotarian Nancy Rogers.
The Cranbrook Rotary Club was started on February 17, 1922. The club has been busy all these decades building trails, housing vulnerable citizens, supporting kids and seniors, and investing in arts and sports.
In March of 1997, our sister club, the Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Club, was formed and now our community has double the positive impact from Rotary.
Cranbrook Rotary President Leanne Jensen: “Over the past almost 100 years, our Club has invested in the people of Cranbrook, making our community a better place and having fun as we help our community. Our Club is growing even during the past two years, and we welcome anyone who wants to join us and have some fun making the world a better place.”
The Cranbrook Rotary Club is making the following donations:
