Spring events return to Kimberley Alpine Resort
Spring events are back at Kimberley Alpine Resort this season.
The resort reports it has an “amazing line-up of live music and events for the entire family to celebrate the end of ski season, running to April 10.
Here’s a look at three upcoming events.
Friday, March 25
Shred Kelly Pop up Concert in the plaza from 4 -7 p.m. The popular Fernie-based band is playing a free concert that is open to all ages.
Saturday, April 2
North Star Days
Break out the old-school, retro, vintage (whatever you want to call it) ski wear and celebrate the good ol’ days of spring skiing. New this year will be the Banked slalom competition, historical photo gallery of North Star Mountain and Vahana goat mingle and snuggle. Returning activities include: mogul competition, beer sampling, best dressed dog competition, live music, beer gardens, family activities and more.
April 9 & 10
Spring Splash
Spring Splash Weekend is the final couple of days of the season.
Saturday features everyone’s favourite event – the ‘pond skim plus live music by The Tragically Hip tribute band The Hip Replacements starting at 4 p.m. in the plaza.
Sunday is closing day at the resort. Come out for Kimberley’s most popular event – the Dummy Downhill! Closing the season is music by local favourites Leather Apron Revival at 4 p.m.
