Columbia Basin Culture Tour August 6 and 7

The 14th annual Columbia Basin Culture Tour combines a road trip with uniquely curated cultural experiences for a weekend of fun!

A total of 84 venues are participating in the 2022 edition across four regions in the Basin, including 19 in the East Kootenay/Creston.

By following the tour map, you will visit artistsā€™ studios, museums, art galleries and heritage sites. With exhibitions, artwork displays, creative process demonstrations and performances, there is something new to experience at each venue. With performances and presentations for all ages, you can bring the whole family!

This free, self-guided tour happens August 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. local time.

Grab a Culture Tour directory from a tourist info centre near you or contact the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance office 250-505-5505 and we will send one to you by mail.

Southwest Basin: Grant Forks / Rossland / Warfield / Trail / Erie /Salmo / Castlegar / Robson / South Slocan / Nelson / Harrop / Procter / Balfour Queens Bay / Riondel / Crawford Bay / Gray Creek / Creston.

Northwest Basin: Krestova / Passmore / Winlaw / Nakusp / Revelstoke.

Northeast Basin: Invermere.

Southeast Basin: Elkford / Fernie / Cranbrook / Kimberley.

East Kootenay/Creston venues

Creston: Creston Museum; Tilted Brick Gallery; Tilted Brick ArtSpace; Jenny Steenkamp.

Cranbrook: Cranbrook Community Theatre Society.

Elkford:Ā Katherine Russel Glass Art in Elkford.

Fernie: Fernie Forge Eye of the Needle Studio.

Invermere: Bavin Studios; Effusian Art Gallery; Columbia Valley Arts at Pynelogs Cultural Centre and Art Gallery; Pottery Playground.

Kimberley: River Bend Lane Art Walk in Kimberley; Sam Millard in Kimberley; Shannon Fraser; Mountain Grass Gallery + Bistro; “The Laundromat” Art Gallery Kimberley; Kimberley Friends Gallery; Dragon’s Rest Working Studios, Gallery and Dragon Iron Forge; Kimberley Arts at Centre.64
