Earthquake reported near Kimberley
The US Geological Survey (USGS) is today reporting an earthquake occurred early this morning 41 km northwest of Kimberley, about half a kilometre west of Bleak Lake in St. Mary Alpine Provincial Park (49.928°N 116.395°W± 4.0 km).
The earthquake was a 3.9 magnitude and numerous people in Kimberley, and some even in Cranbrook, are reporting on social media that they felt the quake. The USGS reports 62 responses thus far in its “felt report.”
The depth of the tremor was about 10 km, give or take two kms.
