Budget 2024 consultation now open
The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services’ Budget 2024 consultation is open.
British Columbians are invited to share their priorities for the next provincial budget by providing written input by Friday, June 16, at 3 p.m. (Mountain time).
Public hearings were also held Monday, May 29 with the presentation of the Budget 2024 consultation paper by the Minister of Finance.

The committee, which includes Kootenay East MLA Tom Shypitka serving as vice chair, will consider all input received and intends to release its report with recommendations to the legislative assembly for the next budget in August 2023.
The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services is one of 10 permanent parliamentary committees established to undertake work on behalf of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. The committee holds an annual public consultation to hear from British Columbians about their ideas and priorities for the next provincial budget.
The members of the committee are:

* Ben Stewart, MLA, Kelowna West;
* Adam Walker, MLA, Parksville-Qualicum; and
* Henry Yao, MLA, Richmond South Centre.
