Coal Miner Days June 5 to 11 in Sparwood
Coal Miner Days (CMD) is Sparwood’s community celebration that has something for everyone, from sporting events to bounce houses and everything in between.
CMD proceeds have been raised to support: Lilac Terrace expansion, new Sparwood Skate Park, Raise a Child UP, Sparwood EDC Committee, Sparwood Food Bank, Search & Rescue as well as sporting groups in our community. Coal Miner Days are packed full of exciting events, fun for the entire family.
Sparwood Coal Miner Days Society is excited to announce that this year’s events will once again be week-long, the second week of June.
Each year we work hard to bring a fun, inexpensive weekend to the residents and visitors of Sparwood, while highlighting all the great things that our community has to offer. The focus for our event continues to be about building community spirit, lending a helping hand and getting involved, all while showcasing our community.
Stay tuned for more information about this year’s festivities that include Carnival events, Food Trucks, Street Market, Fireworks, Vehicle Evacuation, Demonstration, Bike Rodeo, Baseball Tournament and so much more.
