20th TransRockies race returns to Fernie
The TransRockies Singletrack 6 is returning to Fernie July 12 to 14.
TransRockies Singletrack 6Ā is a six-day mountain bike adventure showcasing the best riding in a variety of authentic mountain bike communities in Western Canada.
Six stages, a new route every year and the perfect brew of cross-country, panoramic vistas and epic descents.
The 20th anniversary race runs July 13 to 18, beginning in Fernie (July 13/14), then to Crowsnest Pass for two days/nights, to West Bragg Creek and then concluding in Canmore July 18.
This year will be the seventh year of the Singletrack 6 experience. It will also be the 20th running of the flagship mountain bike stage race, originally hosted from 2002-2013 as the TransRockies Challenge.
While certain locations are established hot spots for mountain biking, new trail networks continue to be born, developed and enhanced.
The 20th edition will also have echoes of the original 2002 route from Fernie to Canmore as the race returns to the same host communities that were part of the event in the first year of the TransRockies Challenge, but with the popular community-based fun-focussed format that Singletrack 6 has become famous for in recent years.
Stages 1 & 2 ā Fernie
Where it all began, Fernie hosted the very first TransRockies Challenge back in 2002 and has been a regular part of the series since then.
In 2023 the Singletrack 6 returns to this authentic mountain biking community. Boasting hundreds of kilometres of prime singletrack over multiple networks, Fernie continues to build on its inventory of great trails.
