The Columbia Valley community and beyond is this week mourning the passing of Penny Powers, a tireless volunteer, athlete, mother and Edgewater Fire Department firefighter.

Penny’s family and friends are holding a celebration of life on Friday, February 9 at 3 p.m. at Invermere’s Kinsmen Beach.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair.

If the weather allows, and you are so inclined, please bring your skates/skis to enjoy the Whiteway Penny helped to create.
