Cranbrook Arts issues call for artists

Cranbrook Arts is excited to announce three opportunities for artwork submissions.

In our Gallery we have two upcoming exhibitions:

The Second Chance Art Sale

May 29 – June 8

Artists: are you looking to clear out your artwork? Bring it to our Second Chance Art Sale.

Submission deadline: May 23.

New Perspectives: A Celebration of Kootenay Landscape

June 14 – July 20

Seeking new and original artwork that highlights the beauty of the Kootenays.

We encourage you to “think outside of the box” for this — Unique work that explores size, scale, viewpoint and perspective in landscape, all landscape work will be considered.

Submission deadline: May 31.

Community Art Project

Where’s Ed? Summer Scavenger Hunt

July 26 – Sept 1

We are seeking 14 artists, individual or groups, to create sculptures/artwork of Cranbrook Ed to be hidden in and around Cranbrook. Sculptures will be hidden both indoors and outdoors.

Submission Deadline: April 26.

Great news: Our Afterschool Art Club is back for another six sessions! Our spring programming is underway with many of our classes filling. We still have spots left in several Art Workshop and Pottery Classes. Registration is open on our website.

Did you know Cranbrook Arts is now offering a Class Bursary? We strive to create art experiences that are accessible for everyone.

Our bursary can cover up to 100% of class tuition. The Cranbrook Arts Class Bursary is generously funded by The Rick & Marg Jensen Foundation and Stellar Vista Credit Union.

You can find all our classes, learn more about our submissions and Class Bursary on our website www.cranbrookarts.com

Gallery hours: Wednesday  – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
