CFEK and Ground Floor manager announces departure
Community Futures East Kootenay (CFEK) and Ground Floor Coworking Space (Ground Floor) have announced the departure of Sean Campbell, their General Manager for the past 11 years.
Sean’s leadership, vision, and collaborative approach to Community Economic Development and to creatively supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in the East Kootenay have left an undeniable mark on both organizations and the wider community.
Over the past 11 years, CFEK has seen significant growth in its ability to support a thriving regional economy by expanding its commitment to community economic development initiatives and consistently exploring creative ways to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Ground Floor Coworking Space, launched in Cranbrook in 2018, has blossomed into a vibrant hub for the local business community, fostering a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs, professionals, and growing businesses. This growth reflects the dedication to empowering local ventures by providing not just physical space, but also resources and a network for success.
“Sean’s commitment to an innovative, team-centric approach has been instrumental in the success of both CFEK and Ground Floor,” said Carrie Schafer, Chair of the Board of Directors at CFEK. “We are grateful for his commitment and leadership over the past 11 years, and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.”
As Sean embarks on the next chapter of his career, we are confident that his new pursuits will benefit from the same passion and dedication that he brought to Community Futures East Kootenay and Ground Floor Coworking Space. While we will miss his presence and leadership, we are excited to see the continued growth and success of both organizations, building on the strong foundation Sean has laid.
