The Cranbrook Public Produce Garden was recently victimized by a thief or thieves.

Garden managers noted on social media today the public garden was broken into and the lock on a shed and a wagon have been recovered.

“Still missing all of our tools and sheers… the RCMP is working hard on it and hopefully some more things turn up, but it is very unfortunate.

“We are considering additional security measures to keep our equipment and the community safe, despite that going against the mantra of our garden being open to everyone,” garden managers stated.

“We appreciate all the support and hope people respect our space.”
