CPL and BC Parks partner up
BC Parks has donated a hiking kit to Cranbrook Public Library’s Library of Things!
“The hiking kit, created in partnership with BC Parks, is meant to help get community members outside in a safe way, while providing some of the basic gear needed. From headlamps and hiking poles to a first aid kit and fire starter kit, the library is your one stop shop for summer adventures!” said Chief Librarian Ursula Brigl.
The hiking kit includes:
- 1 Hiking Backpack • 4 Instruction Manuals • 1 Laminated Packing List • 1 Book – Mountain Footsteps • 1 Compass • 1 Fire Making Kit • 1 First Aid Kit • 2 Headlamps • 1 Multi-Tool • 2 Pairs Trekking Poles • 1 Two-Person Emergency Blanket • Terms of Use & Content Checklist.
The hiking kit is available to be borrowed for seven days for those library users over the age of 19.
