Flags half-mast in Fernie for Mary Giuliano
It is with sadness that we mark the passing of former City of Fernie Mayor Mary Giuliano, who passed away on August 17.
Mary served the City of Fernie from 2002-2018; serving three terms as a City Councillor before being elected Mayor for two terms.
A tireless volunteer and advocate for Fernie, her countless contributions have left an indelible mark on our community.
“Mary’s graciousness and dedication to community service will long be remembered. Her passing is a loss to our community,” said Nic Milligan current City of Fernie Mayor.
On behalf of the City of Fernie, our deepest condolences to Mary’s family and friends.
Flags at city facilities will fly at half-mast this week in her honour.
