Having a blast on Kimberley Underground Railway
The Sullivan Mine, located in Kimberley, was a major producer of lead, zinc and silver that operated from 1909-2001.
For nearly 100 years, the Sullivan Mine was critical to the fabric of the community.
Tourists can now ride a small underground train courtesy Kimberley Underground Railway and take in information from former miners as they demonstrate equipment used to extract the hard rock minerals.
Kimberley Underground Railway is open from June 27 to Sept. 1, closed on Tuesdays and Wednedays.
