Info meeting regarding Hosmer Fire Hall Nov. 13
The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is hosting an information meeting on November 13 to present and discuss the findings of a series of assessment reports on the current Hosmer Fire Hall.
“When I took office, it was important to me to have a fulsome understanding of the condition of the current fire hall before moving forward with plans for a new hall. I know there were many residents who shared this same desire,” explained Electoral Area A Director Thomas McDonald.
“It has taken longer than anticipated to retain the various experts and we are now at a point where we have received most of the reports and want to meet with the community to discuss the findings and potential next steps.”
The meeting will be held Wednesday, November 13, at 7 p.m. at the Hosmer Community Hall.
In addition, the Fire Hall, which is attached to the Community Hall, will be open from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. for residents to do a brief walk through if they have not been inside previously.
Copies of the assessments can be found on the project page.
“We remain committed to ensuring we are providing the best service for the Hosmer Fire Protection Service Area and I’m looking forward to being able to share the results of these assessments with the community at the meeting,” added McDonald.
