Kootenay Orchards Elementary School set a record this year in collecting food for the Cranbrook Food Bank.

The school collected 2,783 pounds of food from the Jingle Bell Walk. This food is worth approximately $10,000.

Mrs. Shadeli’s class calculated that this is the same weight as 47 Grade 4 students, and 400 pounds more than last year.
