It was a bustle of activity last Saturday, December 1, at Top Crop Garden, Farm & Pet as pets and their owners lined up to get their picture taken with Santa Paws. This was the 12th year for the popular fundraiser for the East Kootenay SPCA. English Mastiff Cash (pictured with Santa and owner Nola Bates) was not entirely sure about the bearded man. So instead of trying to move 185 pounds of dog, Santa snuggled up to his canine friend. Thanks to photographer Wanda Caven, the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, the Kootenay News Advertiser, Santa Paws and all the participants for making this another fun day.
