Obituary of Mario Scodellaro

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mario Scodellaro, a devoted husband, father, and cherished friend to many, on January 26 at the age of 95. Mario was a true gift to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him—remembered for his unwavering honesty, persistence, and deep integrity.

Mario met the love of his life, Rose, in 1967, and their bond became the foundation of a beautiful life together. They married on October 21, 1972 and their love story was one of partnership, laughter, and enduring devotion. In 1994, their family grew when Rowena Nancy Dela Cruz Scodellaro became part of their lives—a blessing that brought even more joy and love into their home. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.

Mario’s life was defined by his positivity, kindness, and dedication to the people and community he loved. Whether through his work, his friendships, or his family, Mario had a unique way of touching hearts and leaving a lasting impression. His love for Rose, Nancy, Graysyn and his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his gentle yet strong presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife Rose, his daughter, Rowena, his grandson Graysyn and countless friends who were blessed to share in his journey. Though Mario is no longer with us, his legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Mario’s life will be held on Monday, February 3, at 11:00 AM at Christ the Servant Church, officiated by Father Rex.
