Winter Market – a showcase for Kimberley business

On Sunday, February 17, there will be roughly 6,000 people on the Kimberley Ski Hill. The majority will be from Alberta and southern Saskatchewan. This is Family Day weekend for these two provinces.

We want to market to these people and we anticipate that you may like to be a part of that as well.

We recognize that many of these skiers are based on the hill and may not venture to downtown Kimberley or Marysville. Therefore the Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Conference Centre and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, are planning a Winter Market in the Conference Centre from noon until 5 p.m. and invite you to set up business with us.

Part of the rationale is to promote our summer activities. We want this ‘ski’ crowd to come back and visit us in other seasons so we want to tell them what we can offer. We see this market as a combination of retail booths selling products, service businesses promoting their expertise and tourism partners advertising their activities.

We would like to fill the entire Conference Centre. We will be promoting the market with the help of accommodators with material in every room, and advertising all over the ski hill. We will also advertise to the local market on what is the busiest weekend of the skiing calendar.

To book a booth, fill out this application.
