Office stands up to bullying at Ice game

Western Financial Group set up a booth on-site in the concourse of Western Financial Place

Members of Bob McGill’s Falkins Insurance office in Cranbrook represented Western Financial Group by showing their passionate support towards anti-bullying by title sponsoring the Kootenay Ice’s School Spirit Night.

Held at Western Financial Place, School Spirit Night brought groups of students from 13 Cranbrook area schools to the Kootenay Ice’s home game against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday, March 2.  Fans were encouraged to wear pink – the official colour of anti-bullying – to the game to show their support.

As part of Western’s activation at the game, Bob’s office handed out 2,000 pink hand clappers and collected a total of 68 consented leads through an on-site contest to win a signed Kootenay Ice jersey.

The proof-is-in-the-pudding support was a pre-curser to last night’s sell out at Western Financial Place – where the vast majority of Western Hockey League and Kootenay Ice fans wore something pink to show support for anti-bullying efforts.
