22nd annual Community Charity Golf Tournament
We are happy to announce that we will be holding the 22nd annual Kimberley RCMP/Speed Watch Community Charity Golf Tournament at the Kimberley Golf Club on Saturday, September 14, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
The Committee, after careful consideration, has decided that this year’s event will be contributing funds to various local charitable organizations in Kimberley that have been invited to apply for the funds.
Our goal is to again raise money to promote local groups within the community, to help them thrive and be successful. In the past three years money has been provided to the following to help them achieve their goals.
Funds have assisted individuals who have to travel for cancer treatment, Communities in Bloom, Kimberley Beautification project, Community Free Swim at the Kimberley Aquatic Centre, Kimberley Minor Baseball, Kimberley Minor Soccer, Jack Rabbits Ski Program, McKim Middle School Swim Program, Kimberley Ambulance Society’s Memorial Education Fund, North Star Skating Club, Special Olympics, Kimberley Seahorse Swim Club, Kimberley Dynamiter’s Kids Club, and Kimberley Minor Hockey.
This year there will be early bird prizes for early entry. Those participants who register by July 15 will be entered for two draws, and players who register after July 15 and by July 31 will be entered for the final draw only. Please feel free to pass this information on to other parties that may be interested in attending.
The deadline for registration for this year’s event is August 15. Costs: Members Kimberley Golf Club $50; Non-members $85.
