To the Mayor and Council of Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality
Quote from November 6, in The Vancouver Province – “We represent the interests of future residents and future taxpayers in the decisions that are made at this time,” said (Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality Mayor Greg) Deck.
In my opinion, this desecrates the most basic principle of democracy. Democratic governments represent people – real people – not fictional or potential people, but real people.
I challenge the Mayor and Council of Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality to step down. If any of you have a shred of respect for democratic government in this country, step down and denounce the government of Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality. Enough rationalizations; demonstrate some ethics and quit eroding the credibility of these important institutions in our country.
