Bill PHILLIPS

Surrounded by family, Billy Gean Phillips passed away peacefully on April 6, 2022 at his home in Grasmere, BC at the age of 85. He was born in Stella, Arkansas on August 14, 1936.

Bill married Charlotte Crittenden on September 20, 1958 and moved to Grasmere where they both lived out their lives. After Charlotte’s sudden passing in March of 1994, he met and married Miki Robinson in September of that year.

Bill was a cowboy through and through, and anyone who knew him, also knew that. He enjoyed nothing more than being on the back of a horse; from racing quarter horses on the track to packing the string of horses into the mountains, Bill truly embodied the cowboy spirit. He enthusiastically shared his love and knowledge for horses with three generations; a legacy that will continue for future generations to come.

Bill was predeceased by his wife Charlotte, sisters Anita Fern, and Dortha, his granddaughter Karman, great grandson Wade, his grandson-in-law Eric, and his brother William Orval. He is survived by his wife Miki; four daughters: Elaine (Wes) Horvath and Anita (Mike) Palmer of Fernie, BC, Terri (Gord) Gooch of Arrowwood, AB, and Yvonne Miller of Grasmere, BC; his son-in-law Carl Miller of Elkford, BC and stepsons Darrell (Lisa) Robinson of Quesnel, BC and Dean (Shannon) Robinson of Grasmere. Also left to mourn his passing are his grandchildren: Bobby-Joe Donovan (John Poland) of Mossleigh, AB, Kathy (Jason) Hoszouski of Grasmere, Mark (Shari) Palmer of Fernie, Dallas (Brenda) Horvath of Princeton, BC, Sarah (Marc) Coutu of Arrowwood, Bonny (Jordan) Hutchinson and Rick Miller (Emilie Fitton) of Grasmere, Ryan Robinson of Kelowna, BC, Brandon Robinson of Clearwater, BC, Savannah and Colton Robinson of Quesnel, and Jamie Robinson of Toronto, ON as well as 16 great grandkids.

The family would like to thank Joy Hutchinson and Dr. Bakker, and Heather Serafini for her kindness and care, as well as Home Healthcare nurses Karen, Allana and Stacie.
