David George Dwyer

It is with great sadness that the family of David George Dwyer announce his passing on December 28, 2023.

David was born on November 27, 1946, in Pincher Creek, Alberta to Rachel and Willard Dwyer.

David grew up in Lundbreck and graduated University of Alberta in 1969 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He formed Dwyer Engineering and Construction. David married the love of his life, Helen in 1971 in Calgary. David was very proud and involved with his three sons Shawn, Ryan, and Colin in all their activities.

While semi-retired David went back to University of Calgary and got his MBA in 1989.

David travelled extensively for work and pleasure. He loved to learn about the people and land wherever he went.

His company was one of his passions.

David lived life to the fullest through his company, family and helping others. David was one of the kindest people you could ever meet and opened his heart and home to many. David lived 50+ years in Calgary and loved to spend time in Meadow Creek for over 30 years where he was retiring to.

Predeceased by his parents Willard and Rachel, his brother Patrick and niece Robin. Survived by his wife of 53 years Helen, his children Shawn (Kellie) Ryan and Colin, his grandchildren Ty (Melissa), Zoe and Conan, his great granddaughter Taylor. He is also survived by his sister Mary (Doug), his sister Susan (Terry), his sister-in-law Linda and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and colleagues.
