Obituary of Denise Gagne

Denise Gagne

On Friday, November 3rd, 2023, Denise Gagne, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 80.
Mom was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Denise was born on March 16, 1943 in Saint Cecile de Milton, Quebec, to her parents Dolores and Anatole Robichaud, both of whom have predeceased her, as well as her brother Real Robichaud. Denise and Normand married in 1961. Together they made many memories and provided a home filled with love and adventures.
Denise is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Normand Gagne, who will always fondly remember and miss “The Love of His Life”.

Denise was a devoted mother to her 3 children, Mance (Paul) Visentin, Daniel (Heather) Gagne, and Gerald (Marnie) Gagne. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her 10 grandchildren (Alison, Brian, Laura, Matthew, Holly, Kurtis, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Michael and Nicholas) and 12 great grandchildren.

Denise was a great homemaker and loved her time spent entertaining, cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, and was always happiest surrounded by family and friends. One could always feel welcome and at home when they came to visit, and she made sure guests were fed and comfortable.

Denise is survived by her immediate family members as well as a brother, Gerard (Gisele), sisters, Estelle (Michel), Francine, Therese, Carol (Roly), sister-in-law, Lucie, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law on the Gagne side and over 100 nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Denise’s Life will be held in the summer of 2024. We will forever remember the memories of how Denise impacted our lives and will miss her dearly. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either the EKFH (East Kootenay Foundation for Health) A Warm Embrace Campaign or the Canadian Lung Association in Denise’s honor.
