Obituary of Keith Robert Plant

Keith Robert Plant

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Robert Plant.

Keith was born and raised in Kimberley, BC, and had many ties to the community. Keith will forever be remembered as a Kimberley Boy.

Keith was a son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Keith left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and everyone has a Keith story to tell. He had a deep love for the outdoors; from a young age, he spent many days snowmobiling with his dad and brother and later with his group of buddies. In the summer, Keith often embarked on dirt bike adventures and camping trips with friends. Everything Keith did, he did to the maximum; nothing was ever done half assed.

Keith had a passion for cars and dedicated countless hours to working on his Pontiac Firebird. He had recently restmoded the Firebird to be his daily driver, and both Keith and his car always stood out in a crowd.

Keith’s career as a helicopter pilot took him to various places across Canada. He took great pride in his job and the projects he was a part of. In recent years, he had been employed with Valard Construction, flying a Super Puma.

Keith will be deeply missed by his mother, Jackie, his brother Mike (Marnie), his nieces Kendall (Corban) Townsend and Jocelyn (Ryan) Scrimshaw, his stepdaughter Natasha, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind countless friends and colleagues who were like family to him. Everyone loved Keith and will cherish the memories they have of him.

Keith was predeceased by his father, Bob Plant, in 2018.

A memorial service for Keith will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, at 1 pm at the Alliance Church in Cranbrook. There will be a reception following the service at The Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort (209 Van Horne St. S.).
