Terance Patrick George

Terry will be missed greatly by his children, Christine (Jeff), Pamela (Giles) and Jamin (Natalie).  As well as his Grandchildren Tyrha (Kyle), Payton, Sean, Rylee, Lucas, Kohen, Ryann, Scarlett and Sadie and his Great Grandchild Naya.

He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Brian (Amy), David (Shirley), Ian (Sandi) and many nieces and nephews.

Terry is pre-deceased by his parents Russell and Murial George, his brother Robert, sister-in-law Ilene and nephew Jeffrey.

Born in Neepawa, Manitoba on August 25, 1950, Terry and his family moved from Brandon, Manitoba to Cranbrook, British Columbia in 1974. He dearly loved the town and its surrounding mountains, lakes and rivers. Although he loved to travel and see new places, he always called Cranbrook his home.

Terry was a dedicated firefighter with the Cranbrook Airport Fire Department for many years as well as a driving school instructor. He loved music and later in life enjoyed being a DJ at several events. He enjoyed traveling around in his van with his beloved dog Moses who was always by his side. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.

A special thank you to the staff at the Dr. F.W. Green Memorial Home for your excellent care and compassion in his final months and moments. Thank you as well to the many friends who have done so much for him both in his final days and over the years.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 15, 2024, at 11:00 am at McPherson Funeral Services located at 2200 2^nd Street South, Cranbrook BC. Followed by a reception at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 1:00 pm located at 715 Kootenay Street North, Cranbrook BC.

In consideration of Terry’s long battle with cancer, the family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Terry George.
