Obituary of Tilley Tatiana Kreuger
Tilley Tatiana (Tina) Kreuger
nee Baresinkoff
Tilley Tina Kreuger age 90 years of Cranbrook, British Columbia, passed suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
She was born on November 3, 1931, to Tina and Michael Barisenkoff in Crescent Valley, British Columbia. Tilley worked hard tirelessly from a young age. As she helped on the family farm and assisted her mother raising her younger siblings, she was denied the opportunity of a full education. She learned early in life to not dwell on the past and to always focus on the positive aspects of life, and as such she grew from these experiences, and became a very accomplished cook, gardener, and seamstress. These skills proved to be invaluable as she raised her six children single-handedly. She proudly wore the title of Mom and Dad as the only father figure many of her children had in their life.
When not attending to her garden and family, Tilley enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, berry, and mushroom picking with her children when she was younger. Her children always looked forward to her homemade fish and chips and delicious fried lake trout. In her later years she enjoyed going to the casino, scratching lottery tickets, playing bingo, or playing dice, cards, or the boardgame trouble. She loved sharing her love of games with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was always very lucky, and her family always knew to keep an eye on Grandma as she was very sneaky!
She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Aunty to numerous nieces & nephews. Tilleyâs borscht was second to none to Grandma Tinaâs, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren always looked forward to eating grandmaâs famous âmedicine soupâ (homemade chicken noodle soup) and chicken spaghetti.
Tilley was predeceased by her parents Michael and Tina Barisenkoff, sister Mabel Lebedoff, brothers Alex Barisenkoff and Cecil Baresinkoff, and her first three children David, Rocky, and Linda Rondeau.
She is forever remembered and survived by her daughter Elisabeth (James) Hudson, grandson Dennis (Katy) and great grandson Jackson Hudson, granddaughter Erica (Tyler) and great granddaughters Isabel and Hallie Marshall, and grandson Jeffrey Hudson; daughter Susan (Michael) Spalding, granddaughter Jessica Spalding and great granddaughters Holly Roy and Gwen Bentley; daughter Anita (Kevin) Storm, grandson Colin (Janessa), great granddaughter Payton, and great grandson Easton Storm, Tyler Storm (Leah Vidad) and great grandsons Elijah and Jabez Storm; daughter Shelley Jensen, grandson Shawn Jensen (Britany Spavin), great granddaughter Jade Jensen and great grandson Rohnin Lafleur, and grandson Todd Jensen (Megan Summers); son Kenneth, granddaughter Lesa, and grandson Matthew Rondeau; son Michael (Brea) Baresinkoff, granddaughter Sara Bach, grandson Colten Baresinkoff, and granddaughter Kiera Baresinkoff; brother Michael (Sharon) Barisenkoff; sister Mary Ann Kooznetsoff, as well as numerous nieces an nephews.
The family will be honouring Tilleyâs wishes and her cremains will be placed with her mom, Tina Barisenkoff, at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Forks, British Columbia. The family will be having a small and simple graveside service and inurnment at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Forks, British Columbia on August 26, 2022.
Immediately following the inurnment, a celebration of life filled with food, friends and family will take place in Grand Forks, British Columbia. Tilleyâs loved oneâs will gather to share stories, play games, and enjoy the simple things in life. In each otherâs company they will continue to make memories along the Granby River; the same river Tilley swam in as a child.
