Olga Wojtula was born on June 20, 1927 in Halanowo, Poland. She was the oldest of two children born to Kathrine and Wasyl Wakulchik. In September of 1939, Olga, with her mother Kathrine and younger brother John, immigrated to Canada to join her dad Wasyl in Natal, BC to begin a new family life together in Canada.

It was in Natal, Olga met and married Archie Wojtula and together they completed their family with the birth of three children.
Olga was known for her green thumb. She had won the District of Sparwood’s best garden contest so many times that she was asked to judge the competition instead of competing in it. She also enjoyed playing crib at the Senior’s Drop-In Center.

Olga is survived by her son Bill (Jewelle), daughter Lori (Bill), and son Rick, grandchildren Jackie (Tim), Brenda, Niki (Andrew), Shawn and Dan (Jacynda) and great grandchildren Ben, Brandon, Tanner, Jacob, Cohen, Rory, Audrey, Ariya and Taegin.
