Cranbrook Canada Day celebrations to be best ever

Explosions are going to be ripping across the sky July 1, twice as big as last year. Mountains of fun, entertainment and food are going to be everywhere at Moir Park starting at 5 p.m. and running right up until the first blasts of this year’s amazing fireworks display at around 11 p.m.

“Can you remember the excitement you had as a kid at Canada Day? Energized yet exhausted, brain buzzing from sugar, the noise from the fireworks still ringing in your ears as you fall asleep on the ride home with a smile on your face and your heart swelling with pride for this country?

“We want this year to become your new favourite memory of Canada Day! To do that we are throwing a celebration worthy of the awesomeness of this country and this community! And that’s pretty awesome!” stated Frank Hackett, Canada Day planner and leader of Connect Church.

The tremendous generosity of the City of Cranbrook and the local business community has put Connect Church in a position where they are able to put together a celebration that is going to be jam packed with fun.  There will be two stages of entertainment, including music from the Good Ol’ Goats, food vendors, bouncy castles, face painting, clowns, games, etc.

They don’t want anyone in the community to miss out on this event.  Come get swept up in the fun and camaraderie that is infectious when Canadian’s get together to show their pride and celebrate this incredible country.

Vendors still interested in participating, and anyone wanting to make a donation to the event is encouraged to contact Sarah Turk (250) 421-3858 or [email protected].
