Who’s coming to this year’s Kootenay Country Fair at Fort Steele Heritage Town?
One of our favourite events, Kootenay Country Fair 2023 will not disappoint.
There will be loads of vendors and food truck owners are ready to share their goods!

Whether it’s a prize pumpkin, cut flower arrangement, photographic masterpiece, or fresh homemade jelly, we want to see what you’ve been up to this summer and put it on display for all to see! We are sure there are many ribbon-worthy creations out there.

New for 2023 will be a speed panning contest event at Nugget Norm’s Gold Panning Station. Check out the rules and regulations.
Animals, food trucks, demonstrations, market vendors, wagon rides, and the last run before we tuck in our 100-year-old steam locomotive (pictured above) for the season.
