Holiday Baking Contest & Fundraiser for the Youth Public Art Project
Think your cookies are the best? Come see about the rest at the second annual Shortbread Showdown!
Do you have a fantastic shortbread recipe handed down through generations? Or perhaps you have been experimenting with some new ingredients and have come up with a delicious twist on this holiday favorite. Whatever your secret is we want your cookies! Enter a few dozen cookies and see how yours stack up or come and vote by putting money in the jar in front of your favourite cookie!
Cookies are displayed without bakersā names attached so there is no favourtism! All money raised will go towards the fundraising efforts for the Youth Public Art Project. Winner gets amazing bragging rights and maybe your name in the paper but definitely on our Facebook page.
The showdown is Sunday, December 23, from 1-3 p.m. at The Arts Station, 601-1st Ave. in Fernie.
Please let us know if you will be entering your delicious baking by Friday, December 21.
Cookie drop-off Sunday, December 23 at noon.
