The Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce celebrated Small Business Week, Oct. 15-19, by holding its monthly meeting in conjunction with a business trade fair (Bringing Their Business to the Table) highlighted by a luncheon featuring guest speaker Kathy Callies.

A variety of Cranbrook and area businesses, including e-KNOW, manned information tables at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort on Wednesday, Oct. 17, providing information about their services.

Callies, interim president of the South Dakota Rural Learning Center, spoke to the packed conference room audience about the 10% % shift initiative, which has taken in Howard, Miner County (in southeast South Dakota) that was so successful it turned the town and its local economy around.
