NAPA remembers John Dixon with gift to EKFH
East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) is weeks away from the launch of the 2014 Starlite Campaign and recently the foundation received one of its most precious Starlite Gifts.
A few months ago franchise owners and managers from NAPA Auto Parts dealerships in Southern Alberta and B.C. gathered at the St. Eugene Mission Resort for its inaugural John Dixon Memorial Golf Tournament. The group, joined by family and friends, came to golf, laugh and share memories of a man who gave much to his community through his affiliation with the NAPA organization.
“John was such an influence to many of us who had the opportunity to work with him. Our NAPA family wanted to take a moment to honour our friend,” explains Josh Braithwaite, NAPA Banners & Major Account Coordinator. “We all miss him terribly.”
The Dixon family is no stranger to supporting EKFH and now with NAPA’s gift the tradition continues with a gift of $2,360 being dedicated to equipment for the new six-bed intensive care unit presently under construction at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
The seventh annual Starlite Campaign begins November 28 and continues through to January 31, 2015.
