Spacious Mall hosted chamber Mingler
Kimberley and District Chamber of Commerce members gathered for their monthly Mix and Mingle event in the largest venue so far.
About 40 chamber members gathered in The Mall, the building in which the former Fields store was located before closing recently. The Mall, as the 34,000-square foot building is called, still holds a church, has been a bank and a Hudson’s Bay Store, complete with a restaurant upstairs.
On Oct. 22, building co-owner Allison Walker conducted tours of the spacious building – offering business owners and entrepreneurs a glimpse at potential space on both floors.
Getting the upstairs, which had become a large storage area sometimes inhabited by squatters, cleaned for the Chamber Mingler took three months, Walker said.
