About 200 elected officials from the Kootenays and Boundary area will be in Kimberley later this week to take part in the Association of Kootenay Boundary Local Governments’ (AKBLG) annual general meeting.

The three-day conference is running April 27 to 29 at the Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre.

Hosting the AKBLG conference will provide a boost to the local economy during shoulder season, and enhance Kimberley’s reputation as a world-class destination, the city noted.
