A bear with cubs was seen at the top of view trail by Black Forest in Mt Fernie Provincial Park and a small bear was seen last night (June 24) on Far Out in the Mt. Proctor area and a bear and cubs were also seen on the Montane Trail yesterday.

Bear sightings are also reported in Sparwood behind Lodge Pole mobile home park and behind Sparwood Heights.  There have been no other reported sightings of the grizzly bear seen by the firehall on Pine Avenue a few days ago.

Bears, like people, will choose the path of least resistance.  When out on the trails be prepared and expect to encounter wildlife anytime.
