Cause of structure fire undetermined
On August 26, at approximately 8:15 p.m. the Kimberley Fire/Rescue received a call for a structure fire at the One Love Hot Yoga studio, located at 136B Wallinger Avenue.
The fire department responded with two fire engines, three support units, and 17 firefighters. Operations to prevent fire spread to adjacent buildings commenced immediately.
The yoga studio sustained extensive structural damage, while adjacent businesses received water, smoke, and fire damage to the roof.
RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, BC Hydro, Fortis BC, and City of Kimberley operations department staff were on scene to provide support services. No civilians or firefighters were injured during the incident.
Kimberley Fire/Rescue is currently cooperating with the RCMP to conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire.
